THR 5120 - Therapeutic Modalities I Credit(s): 6.00
This course introduces three of six major naturopathic therapeutic modalities: clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy and physical medicine. History and philosophy, terminology, mechanism of action, and general therapeutic applications, indications, contraindications, safety and monitoring for each modality are covered. Students analyze evidence for effectiveness of each modality. The role of each modality in the context of naturopathic care and in the greater medical system is also explored.
