CM 531 - Foundations of Classical Chinese Medicine III

This course is a thorough introduction to the channel/meridian system in Chinese medicine. The anatomy (both Western and Eastern, with an emphasis on Eastern), trajectory, combinations and interactions between the various levels and aspects of the channels are covered; leaving students with a firm grasp of the overall web of interconnections referred to as the channel system. Points on the channels may be mentioned but are not emphasized. At the end of the course there is a brief discussion of the relationships between the organs and the channels so as to better summarize and elucidate how the two systems work together to support the vitality and working functionality of a human being. Prerequisite(s): CM 511 , CM 521
