GSA 614E - Ayurvedic Physiology and Pathophysiology

This course covers an overview of physiological significance, classifications, and interrelations of Ayurvedic foundational concepts and psychosomatic effects, pathology in the functional pathways in the state of healthy and unhealthy conditions. Students will explore the correlation of Tridosha with progeny, age, food, digestion, formation of body type, emotions, time of the day and night, seasons, general and specific etiological factors, prodromal(precursory)stage of imbalance, relieving factors, and process of formation of imbalanced condition, six stages from the origination, and development of imbalance leading to specific condition.
