OPD 654 - Practice Management II: Billing and Coding

This course introduces basic billing and cash flow practices within an acupuncture business. This includes an overview of Super Bills, CPT and ICD-10 coding, as well as how to become credentialed with insurance, and billing private insurance, personal injury insurance or workers’ compensation insurance for reimbursement. Business written communications are discussed in the context of disputes and appeals for reimbursement. Additionally, budgeting for personal and business income and expenses will be explored.
